5.1 13th Year Kiosk

The 13th year will place a Kiosk in GSHS that provides students the opportunity to explore career options.  Students can receive more information on areas of interest without waiting on counselors.  It is one more opportunity for students to explore their future.  We anticipate putting the Kiosk in the media center allowing students access during study hours.   The service is free.

Mr. Bledsoe will offer his trip to New York for Theater again June 1-4, 2027.  The students will be chaperoned  and overnight security for the hotel will be in place again.  The cost of the trip is $1,595.  They ask your approval to continue offering the trip.

This action would reinstate the fees last charged at Gibson Southern and makes the fees at the K-8's all the same.  Additionally, a PLTW fee is being added.

5.9 Frontline sub software

This would computerize our substitute-teacher system and reduce the total cost of tracking substitutes.

The first-year cost would be approximately $13,820, with an annual commitment of around $9,100.


5.10 Digital Curriculum

The new high school diploma and accountability necessitate courses for high school credit in the middle schools. We are moving computing into the digital age into middle school.  We wish to contract with Code HS to provide curriculum to those teaching the courses.  The digital content will cover the necessary standards and assist staff with planning.  The cost for 3 years of content is $31,232, which is a discount price.
