South Gibson School Corporation Board of Trustees meeting

Michael Bengert called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm in the GSHS Library.  In addition to Board members, administration and Board Attorney Pam Partenheimer, Angela Cooper and Faye Williamson of the South Gibson Teachers Association were present along with patrons of the South Gibson School Corporation.  The media was not present.

Tim Nurrenbern nominated David Lewis to the office of President of the South Gibson School Board of Trustees.  Steve Gruszewski seconded the nomination and the Board approved it on a vote of 6-0.

Mike Bengert nominated Steve Gruszewski to the office of Vice President of the South Gibson School Board of Trustees.  Tim Nurrenbern seconded the nomination and the Board approved it on a vote of 6-0.

Tim Nurrenbern nominated Stacy McClellan to the office of Secretary of the South Gibson School Board of Trustees.  Steve Gruszewski seconded the nomination and the Board approved it on a vote of 6-0.

Tim Nurrenbern nominated Mike Bengert to the office of President of the South Gibson School Board of Finance.  Steve Gruszewski seconded the nomination and the Board approved it on a vote of 6-0.

Mike Bengert nominated Tim Nurrenbern to the office of Secretary of the South Gibson School Board of Finance.  Steve Gruszewski seconded the nomination and the Board approved it on a vote of 6-0.

Mike Bengert made a motion to appoint Amy Silva the South Gibson School Board of Trustees Treasurer.  Janet McBee seconded the nomination and the Board approved it on a vote of 6-0.

Tim Nurrenbern made a motion to appoint Sandy Edwards the South Gibson School Board of Trustees Assistant Treasurer.  Janet McBee seconded the nomination and the Board approved it on a vote of 6-0.

David Lewis opened the floor for patron concerns.  None were voiced.

The Board was presented with budget information for all of Gibson County as well as historical data for South Gibson School Corporation.

Tim Nurrenbern made a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented.  Janet McBee seconded the motion and the action passed 6-0.

The Board in discussion decided to keep the normal meetings on the third Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 pm, in the GSHS Library.  However, the next meeting will be on 24 January 2023.

With no other business to conduct, Tim Nurrenbern made a motion to adjourn.  Steve Gruszewski seconded the motion and the Board adjourned on a vote of 6-0 at 6:51 pm.
