School Board President Tim Nurrenbern called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Board members, administration and Board Attorney Bob Kinkle, Angela Cooper and John Spradley of the South Gibson Teachers Association were in attendance along with media representatives Quiche Matchen of the Princeton Daily Clarion and James Capozella of the South Gibson Star Times. Also in attendance were Scott Stenftenagel and Angela Burton of the Stenftenagel Group as well as patrons and teachers of the district.
Those in attendance observed a moment of silence in honor of Mitchell Steckler, a local youth who recently passed away.

Dr. Humbaugh and the Board discussed the possibility of allowing home schooled students to compete in athletic programs of the South Gibson School Corporation. Kent and Erin Maurer are parents in our community who attended the meeting to discuss this with the Board. After much discussion, Dr. Humbaugh was instructed by the Board to perform further research and present language and policy for the Board's consideration at the July 25, 2017 meeting.
