Board President Mike Bengert called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Board members, Administrators and Board Attorney Bob Kinkle, Sharon Dile of the South Gibson Teachers Association, GSHS Teacher John Spradley, and many teachers of the South Gibson School Corporation were in attendance as well as patrons of the South Gibson School Corporation. Quiche Matchen of the Princeton Daily Clairon and Alden Heuring of the South Gibson Star Times represented the media.

Board President Mike Bengert opened the Public Hearing for Additional Appropriation to authorize the expenditure of funds from the upcoming General Obligation Bond issuance. Board Attorney Bob Kinkle explained to those present the process and the need to do this. Mr. Kinkle also asked for any comments or questions from those assembled. No questions or comments were made by those in attendance. The Public Hearing for Additional Appropriation was then closed at 6:35 p.m.

Dr. Humbaugh and the Board recognized Gibson Southern High School student Shelby Baylor for her first place finish in the Junior Achievement Challenge. Miss Baylor and school sponsor Kathy Hughes explained the competition, the particulars of the winning entry, and Miss Baylor also informed those present she is in the running to attend a competition in Washington, D. C.

Mrs. Karen Bullock took the podium to express her concerns over what she characterized as bullying of her children in both Owensville Community School and Gibson Southern High School.
Owensville Teacher Tisha Seale then took the podium and read the attached document written to the school board.
