Steve Gruszewski opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Board members and administration, Angela Cooper of the South Gibson Teachers Association was present along with teachers and patrons of the South Gibson School Corporation.

Minutes
Steve Gruszewski opened the Public Hearing on collective bargaining. No patrons commented. Tim Nurrenbern asked about the cap on teachers' salaries.
With no further comments forthcoming, Steve Gruszewski closed the Public Hearing.

Minutes
The Board received financial information for 31 July 2024 as well as a revised Budget 2025 calendar which will require two meetings in October 2024. In October, the Board will have a meeting on 15 October as well as 29 October to conduct Budget 2025 business as well as the ratification of a new Master Contract for teachers.

Dr. Perry discussed the opening days of school, rising test scores, and the increase in enrollment of South Gibson School Corporation. Additionally, he informed the Board of the initial planning for a multipurpose building on the campus of Gibson Southern.

Mike Bengert asked about the status of Project Search and the possibility of bringing it back as well as the plans for Academic Excellence programs in the future. These items were discussed but no formal action was taken on them.
